                             RESOLUTION NO.   21023 
                 
                 
                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO RATIFY
                  AND CONFIRM THE EXECUTION OF A CONSENT ORDER
                  AND AGREEMENT WITH THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF
                  ENVIRONMENT AND CONSERVATION RELATIVE TO THE
                  HOWARD HIGH LANDFILL.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to ratify and confirm the execution of a Consent Order and
       Agreement with the Tennessee Department of Environment and
       Conservation relative to Superfund Site Number 33-606 (Howard 
High
       Landfill).
